General Description: Slim and petite, with some muscular definition from dancing. She's a natural brunette with natural curls, though she often straightens her hair and is known to dye it on a whim. Sophie is the president of the 'I Hate Pants' club, and by that she just really hates jeans. She tends to wear leggings and tee shirts/sweaters a lot, especially on practice days, and tends to wear a lot of dresses/skirts when wanting to be a bit more dressy. She will wear the occasional jean but very rarely/only really in her hunter verse.
Distinguishing Marks: There is a small scar on her stomach from a car accident she was in as a teenager. Various little scars and burns on her arms and hands (and legs) from just being clumsy. Clumsy barista, look out. Her ears are pierced, and she has a small butterfly tattoo on her lower back.
Personality: Sophie likes to portray herself like a ball of sunshine, and for the most part she is. She's bubbly and sweet, but is also deeply insecure about herself. She can be vain about her looks, and occasionally petty, with a dash of passive aggression in there, but for the most part she is a girl's girl. She can be very codependent, and craves attention and approval to a very detrimental degree, to the point it has ruined relationships (but not friendships.) She is hardworking, especially when it comes to her career in dance, while being unfocused and messy in every other aspect in her life. She's a hot mess in a pretty dress who parties too much and tries to find validation of herself in others. She is sometimes naive and is easily manipulated if someone acts like they love her.
Alignment: Sophie is extremely loyal to the people she loves. She's pretty friendly when it comes to strangers, and will help a person out if needed, but doesn't go out of her way to perform heroic acts. She believes in finding the good in almost everyone, and when she gets angry she tends to quickly get over it unless it was something that deeply, deeply hurt her. Still, she isn't really one for revenge unless she is pushed towards it.
Sexuality and Gender Identity: Sophie is pansexual, and is pretty open with her sexuality. She tends to use sex as a way to validate herself--if she is desired, she is loved. Depending on the setting, she is also attracted to humanoid creatures like vampires and werewolf. She identifies as a cis woman.
Romantic Inclinations: Sophie tends to fall hard and fast. She is someone who is in love with love, and develops crushs/infatuations rather easily. At the same time, she tends to overthink things and at what she thinks might be a hint of trouble, she runs, especially if she thinks that she's done something to upset the other person, or when she realizes that maybe someone *actually* loves her and she can't handle it given her upbringing.
Upbringing: Sophie is the only child of Michael and Maryellen Hallow. Michael was a mechanic, and her mother was a bartender. The family moved around when she was younger--Michael was a loving dad but was involved in illegal activities, often meaning they had to leave town fast before he got caught. Maryellen was not so loving, leaving Sophie to feel like she wasn't wanted. When Sophie was thirteen she was in a car accident with her dad--she survived with just a gash while her father passed away. Her mother didn't take his death well, withdrawing from her daughter and acting as if she wished it was Sophie that had been killed. It was around that time when Sophie began to rebel, sneaking out to meet boys, drinking, experimenting with drugs. The only thing that kept her from going down a really dark path was dance. As soon as she turned eighteen she left her mother's house, and while she still tries to have a relationship with her, they're pretty much estranged.

Writing Preferences: I tend to match whatever my partner is doing, though I tend more towards prose, just because that's what I'm used to doing on tumblr.

Writing Schedule/Speed: Sometimes I'm super super active, sometimes I'm not. I don't really have a set schedule, though I'm on both here and tumblr so I'm going to balancing the two.
Permissions: Backtagging is welcome and I'm good with multiple threads. I'm not super big on thread-jacking? If you have an idea for something involving that, I'd appreciate being asked first. Please don't kill Soph without asking, though I love to make my muse suffer so I might just say yes. Physical contact is okay because Soph is very much a touchy feely person, as well as flirting. Flirting doesn't automatically mean a ship, but I'm usually always down to ship so if you ship it I probably ship it.
Plot Preferences: I'm big on both angst and fluff, and I'm okay with action particularly if it's in a horror setting I'm good with smut, since it's part of how Soph validates herself. I'm okay with violence and gore, but I'm always willing to fade to black with any smut or violence or whatever to avoid triggering someone. Sophie isn't tied to one fandom and I'm familiar with a bunch of things and I can fit her in mostly everything.
Triggers & Limits: I don't really have triggers, other than I don't write anything that involves the particularly gross kinks (like bathroom stuff, underage, etc)

Ever since she was a kid, she could get a sense of how folks were feeling; she thought she was just good at picking up vibes. She also seemed to sense was going to happen; she had an uneasy feeling the whole day before the accident that took her dad and left her scarred. She knew when her mother was going to make them move--to quote one of her favorite movies, she liked to say she had 'the shining'.
In reality, Sophie was a witch--she just didn't realize it. Her mother's side of the family dabbled in strong magic back in Russia, and while her grandmother and mother tried to suppress those traits once they came to the United States, it came bubbling to the surface and Sophie couldn't ignore it. She's now on a quest to learn what she can about her gift--or curse, while trying to decide what she wants to do about it.

Hi, Soph's writer here. I'm really new to dreamwidth and I'm used to Tumblr roleplay, so please forgive me if I don't understand a lot of things yet.

- I'm open to crossovers, other original characters, canons, you name it. Basically, I'm OTA except for animated characters. I'm okay with realistic animation/comic book characters, but anime I approach with caution.
- Open to lots of AU's! I have a list of fandoms I'm familiar with/semi familiar with and have an idea of how Soph would fit into those worlds, but even if I'm not super familiar with something I'm open to it. Heck, that's how I got so into Marvel comics!
- Have fun, and feel free to approach me to write, nerd out, whatever! Also, please if you have concerns or need anything tagged with trigger warnings let me know!
- Basically, my big don't is not to write my character for me. Small things that would make sense is okay, but please don't godmod.
- If you want to write darker themed things, and it's not under a meme that specifically is about that, please ask/approach me about it. I'm usually open for it but a heads up is nice instead of a curve ball.
